One word, one simple word that can so easily roll off the tongue and shape lives, young
or old, for the better.
Or in our case can get us kicked out for being young, stupid and bloody minded!
That word is College.
That is where the Gnome was born. Adam and myself created a monster of madness known
as the short film 'Revenge On A Stick'.
A mixed up tale about a man who seeks revenge and goes about getting it... with a stick.
He beats up a few folk along the way, encounters a laughing moose head and gets kicked in the face for his troubles.
College was fun, sadly it all ended not even half way through our second year when one
of the tutors caught us on the edit suites and told us very politely to pack up and piss off. There ended our
College fun.
With College but a distant memory of unfinished coursework and afternoons sat in the
Loaf eating soggy burgers and annoying people with our jukebox selections, we realised that we had a small problem.
The film we had been editing when we were rudely kicked out. We needed video editing
software and we needed it fast.
We found a small studio tucked away in some shagged out stables that would help us with
such things and we were able to finish our College gangster masterpiece ((or so Adam calls it, personally I'd call it
a damn good waste of video tape, but then there's no accounting for taste!)) and to this day we still hound those good
people who took us in and to this day they still let us hire their stuff.
Crazy!
